NET Software Developer – Secret Clearance Required

Must possess an Active Secret Clearance
Immediate opening for a software developer with 3-5 years of experience and a Secret level security clearance to support the aircraft flight data analysis group at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division. This group supports the Navy by analyzing flight data using advanced algorithms in order to identify and interpret results. Candidates will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and evolving existing software infrastructure with new functionality as dictated by client requirements. Candidates will participate in the full software development life-cycle for these products and will be expected to actively participate in identifying client needs and generating ideas for new features. This position provides an opportunity to work in a small, high end R&D engineering group that encourages candidates to explore unique problems and develop forward looking solutions.
Successful candidates possess a deep understanding of software development and are comfortable working within, figuring out, debugging, and extending an existing code base. Candidates must be both comfortable and capable of integrating into a team, while being self motivated and able to work independently in their area of responsibility. Previous experience developing thick client applications using the Microsoft .NET framework to interface with existing relational database schemas to pull, modify, and push data is required.
– BS in Computer Science or Programming related degree
– Experience with the .NET framework (C# preferred)
– Windows thick-client software development experience
– Experience interfacing with relational databases
Active Secret Clearance is Required prior to starting
– Comfortable integarting into, and working with, small teams
– Comfortable working on multiple existing projects simultaneously
– Ability to learn and work in existing code bases
BS or equivalent + 2 yrs related experience, or MS + 0 yrs experience
